Marylin A. Hulme
Marylin A. Hulme, directs the Rutgers-based field office of the Equity Assistance Center (EAC)* at New York University. EAC provides training and technical assistance to school districts in New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands on issues and concerns in gender, race and national origin equity in education. Her primary area of expertise is gender equity, including sexual harassment, Title IX, and fair and equitable treatment for girls and boys in all areas of K-12 education.
Hulme was recently elected to serve as chair of the NJ Gender Equity Advisory Committee that advises and makes recommendations to the NJ Department of Education on issues of gender equity. She is currently serving as co-chair and program chair for the annual conference of the Association for Gender Equity Leadership in Education (AGELE) to be held in Washington, DC, July 21-24, 2004.
